Workshops
Centro Latino has developed two new workshops:
Teaching Spanish Literacy
This workshop is designed to provide teachers with the skills, tools and background they need to address the literacy needs of their Spanish-speaking youth or adult students. Most workshops are taught in English, but require a rudimentary level of oral Spanish. Please call (213)483-7753 for the next scheduled workshop.
Student - Tutor Workshops
This workshop is for literate Spanish speakers and their non-literate friends or family members to attend in pairs. The workshop provides the tools, understanding and hands on practice needed for the pairs to work together to help the non-literate youth or adult learn to read and write. The workshop is taught in Spanish, but materials will be provided in Spanish and English. The content for this workshop was beta tested at the ENCUENTRO on February 29th.
